Eleague.gg 2016

After recently attending eleague.gg all I can say is “wow” the event setup was nothing less then impressive with multiple streams, cameras, sponsor booths the works.

It was almost like attending a mini-pax with something for everybody and really no reason not to attend.

There were a number of people attending on the day including many of the sponsors with booth’s at this event, it was surely one I was glad I didn’t miss, I would say as a rough estimate around 200 players / spectators on the day which is quite a good turnout for a first event.

The only thing lacking at this LAN event was major cash prizes, although I understand many organizers for some reason or another prefer to give out sponsored gear  instead of this I feel major events in Australia would progress more with this addition to their events. This would defiantly pump out more players and higher tier matches gaining more exposure to our scene which would be welcomed by all. Player levels for the venue were pretty decent considering a first LAN event I felt that the amount of space was a bit excessive however it beats smashing my elbows against other players!

The management crew including myself attended on the day, mainly as spectators as well as our DOTA2 captain running the DOTA side of things everything seem to pull off with only minor LAN issues typical of any event, a small server issue on the CS:GO side of things which the LAN-Slide guys quickly gave a hand to remedy that issue and things were fired off from there.

Don’t forget to check out some of the photos we took on the day!

Any team or players should really consider this as a not to miss event, check out more on their site eleague.gg
